The Theory Behind LCHF (Low Carb High Fat)

The Theory Behind LCHF

What are you designed to eat?

Humans evolved over millions of years as hunter-gatherers, without eating large amounts of carbohydrates. We ate the food available to us in nature by hunting, fishing and gathering all the edible foods we could find. These foods did not include pure starch in the form of bread, pasta, rice or potatoes. We have only eaten these starchy foods for 5 – 10 000 years, since the development of agriculture. Just a limited adaptation of our genes takes place in such a relatively short time.
With the Industrial Revolution, 100 – 200 years ago, we got factories that could manufacture large amounts of pure sugar and white flour. Rapidly digested pure carbohydrates. We’ve hardly had time to genetically adapt to these processed foods.
In the 80s, the fear of fat gripped the western world. Low-fat products popped up everywhere. But if you eat less fat you need to eat more carbohydrates to feel satiated. And it’s at this time in history that our disastrous epidemics of obesity and diabetes started. The most fat-phobic country in the world, the USA, was hit the hardest and is now the world’s most obese country.
Today, it’s clear that the fear of real food with natural fat contents has been a big mistake.

The problem with sugar and starch

All digestible carbohydrates are broken down into simple sugars in the intestines. The sugar is then absorbed into the blood, raising the blood glucose levels. This increases the production of the hormone insulin, our fat storing hormone.
Insulin is produced in the pancreas (pictured to the right). In large amounts insulin prevents fat burning and stores surplus nutrients in the fat cells. After some time (a few hours or less) this may result in a shortage of nutrients in the blood, creating feelings of hunger and cravings for something sweet. Usually at that point people eat again. This starts the process again: A vicious cycle leading to weight gain.
On the other hand, a low intake of carbs gives you a lower, more stable blood glucose, and lower amounts of insulin. This increases the release of fat from your fat stores and increases the fat burning. This usually leads to fat loss, especially around the belly in abdominally obese individuals.

Weight loss without hunger

A LCHF diet makes it easier for the body to use its fat reserves, as their release is no longer blocked by high insulin levels. This may be one reason why eating fat gives a longer feeling of satiety than carbohydrates. It’s been shown in a number of studies: When people eat all they want on a low carb diet caloric intake typically drops
So, no counting or food weighing is necessary. You can forget about the calories and trust your feelings of hunger and satiety. Most people don’t need to count or weigh their food any more than they need to count their breathing. If you don´t believe it, just try for a couple of weeks and see for yourself.

Health as a bonus

No animals in nature need the assistance of nutritional expertise or calorie charts to eat. And still, as long as they eat the food they are designed to eat they stay at a normal weight and they avoid caries, diabetes and heart disease. Why would humans be an exception? Why would you be an exception?
In scientific studies not only is the weight improved on a low carb diet – the blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol profile (HDL, triglycerides) are also improved. A calm stomach and less cravings for sweet food are also common experiences.

Initial side effects

If you stop eating sugar and starch cold turkey (recommended) you may experience some side effects as your body adjusts. For most people these side effects tend to be mild and last a just few days. There are also ways to minimize them.
Common during the first week:
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Dizziness
  • Heart palpitations
  • Irritability
The side effects rapidly subside as your body adapts and your fat burning increases. They can be minimized by drinking some extra fluids and by temporarily increasing your salt intake a bit. A good option is to drink some broth every few hours. Alternatively, drink a few extra glasses of water and put extra salt on your food.
The reason for this is that carbohydrate-rich foods may increase the water retention in your body. When you stop eating high-carb foods you’ll lose excess water through your kidneys. This can result in dehydration and lack of salt during the first week, before the body has adapted.
Some people prefer to decrease their intake of carbohydrates slowly, over a few weeks, to minimize the side effects. But the “Nike way” (Just Do It) is probably the best choice for most people. Removing most sugar and starch often results in several pounds lost on the scale within a few days. It may be mostly fluids but it’s great for the motivation.

How low to go?

The less carbohydrate you eat the more pronounced the effect on your weight and blood sugar will be. I recommend following the dietary advice as strict as you can. When you’re happy with your weight and health you may gradually try eating more liberally (if you want to).

Tips and recipes

Breakfast suggestions

  • Eggs and bacon
  • Omelet
  • Leftovers from last night’s dinner
  • Coffee with cream
  • A can of mackerel and boiled eggs
  • Boiled egg with mayonnaise or butter
  • Avocado, salmon and crème fraiche
  • Sandwich on Oopsie-bread
  • A piece of very thin hard bread with lots of butter, cheese, ham, etc.
  • Cheese with butter on it
  • Boiled eggs mashed with butter, chopped chives, salt and pepper
  • A piece of brie cheese and some ham or salami
  • High-fat yoghurt with nuts and seeds (and maybe berries)

Lunch and dinner

  • Meat, fish or chicken dishes with vegetables and a rich full-fat sauce. There are many alternatives to potatoes, such as mashed cauliflower.
  • Stews, soups or casseroles with low-carb ingredients.
  • You can  use most recipes in cookbooks if you avoid the carbohydrate-rich ingredients. It’s often a good idea to add fat (e.g. butter, cream) to the recipe.
  • Drink water with your meal or (occasionally) a glass of wine.
Snacks
When you eat a low-carbohydrate diet with more fat and a bit more protein you will probably not need to eat as often. Don’t be surprised if you no longer need to snack. Many people do well on two or three meals per day. If you need a snack:
  • Rolled-up cheese or ham with a vegetable (some people even spread butter on cheese)
  • Olives
  • Nuts
  • A piece of cheese
  • A boiled egg from the refrigerator
  • Canned mackerel in tomato sauce
Olives and nuts can replace potato chips in front of the TV. If you always get hungry between meals you’re probably not eating enough fat. Don’t fear fat. Eat more fat until you feel satisfied.

Dining out or meals with friends

  • Restaurants: Usually not a big problem. You can ask to have potatoes/fries switched for a salad. With meat dishes, ask for extra butter.
  • Fast food: Kebab can be a decent option (preferably avoid the bread). In hamburger chains the hamburgers are usually the least bad option. Avoid soft drinks and fries, obviously. Drink water. Pizza toppings are usually OK, and the stricter you are the less of the pizza crust you will eat.
  • If you eat strictly everyday it’s less of a problem to make a few exceptions when you are invited out. If you’re not sure what will be served you can eat something at home before you leave.
  • Nuts or cheese is good “emergency food” when there are no other adequate options to be found.

Shopping list for beginners

Print this list and bring it to the store:
  • Butter
  • Heavy cream (40% fat)
  • Sour cream (34% fat)
  • Eggs
  • Bacon
  • Meat (minced, steaks, stew pieces, fillets, etc.)
  • Fish (preferably fatty fish like salmon or mackerel)
  • Cheese (preferably high-fat)
  • Turkish yoghurt (10% fat)
  • Cabbage (cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, etc.)
  • Other vegetables that grow above ground
  • Frozen vegetables (broccoli, wok vegetables, etc.)
  • Avocados
  • Olives
  • Olive oil
  • Nuts

Clean out your pantry

Want to maximize your chances of success? Especially if you have difficulty with cravings / sugar addiction, it is smart to throw out (or give away) sugary and starchy foods, “light” products, etc. These include:
  • Candy
  • Potato chips
  • Soft drinks and juices
  • Margarine
  • Sugar in all forms
  • Bread
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Potatoes
  • Breakfast cereals
  • Everything that says “low fat” or “no fat”
  • Ice cream
  • Cookies
Why not do it now?

The Serpent in Paradise

Be very skeptical of special “low-carb” products such as pasta or chocolate. Unfortunately these products usually stink. They have prevented the weight loss for loads of people. They’re usually full of carbs once you see through their creative marketing.

LOW CARB IS NOT JUST EATING MEATS

LCHF for Beginners

Do you want to eat real food (as much as you like) and improve your health and weight? It may sound too good to be true, but LCHF (Low Carb, High Fat) is a method that has been used for 150 years. Now, modern science backs it up with proof that it works.
There is no weighing your food, no counting, no bizarre “meal replacements,” no pills. There is just real food and common sense. And all the advice here is 100 percent free.

Introduction

A LCHF diet means you eat less carbohydrates and a higher proportion of fat. Most importantly you minimize your intake of sugar and starches. You can eat other delicious foods until you are satisfied – and still lose weight.
A number of recent high-quality scientific studies shows that LCHF makes it easier both to lose weight and to control your blood sugar. And that’s just the beginning.

The basics

  • Eat: Meat, fish, eggs, vegetables growing above ground and natural fats (like butter).
  • Avoid: Sugar and starchy foods (like bread, pasta, rice and potatoes).
Eat when you’re hungry until you are satisfied. It’s that simple. You do not need to count calories or weigh your food. And just forget about industrially produced low fat products.
Real food. Add some good fat (like butter).
There are solid scientific reasons why LCHF works. When you avoid sugar and starches your blood sugar stabilizes and the levels of insulin, the fat storing hormone, drops. This increases your fat burning and makes you feel more satiated.

Note for diabetics

  • Avoiding the carbohydrates that raise your blood sugar decreases your need for medication to lower it. Taking the same pre-low-carb diet dose of insulin might result in hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). You need to test your blood sugar frequently when starting this diet and adapt (lower) your medication. This should ideally be done with the assistance of a knowledgeable physician. If you’re healthy or a diabetic treated either by diet alone or just with Metformin there is no risk of hypoglycemia.

Get Rid of Zits and Lose Weight at the Same Time

The Foods That REALLY Cause Zits

Eat right to keep your complexion clear

Face it: A bad diet can have ugly consequences. Scientists at New York University report that high-glycemic foods, such as rice, potatoes, bread, and sugary snacks and drinks, may contribute to acne.
A diet loaded with sugars and starches causes a rise in insulin and blood glucose, which may influence hormones and other proteins that make breakouts worse, the researchers say. For a healthy face (and body), limit your carb intake to no more than 40 percent of your total daily calories and eliminate high-glycemic foods, says Valerie Berkowitz, M.S., R.D., director of nutrition at the Center for Balanced Health in New York City.
Find out 26 more ways to feed your body to help you work harder, train longer, and look better.

The Brad Pitt Diet he adheres to on a regular basis is essentially high in lean proteins (chicken, fish, eggs, turkey, etc), high in non-starchy fruits and vegetables (avoiding things like bananas, mangoes, squash, potatoes, corn, peas, etc.), and low in carbohydrates (bread, pasta, oats, etc…yes, even the “whole grain” kind), although he is a confessed beer drinker, cutting back dramatically to get ready for Troy.  This diet is a favorite among Hollywood celebrities (male and female alike) as it seems to effortlessly keep you lean year-round. Brad Pitt is 50.

Rob Lowe, 51 in 2013, is aging well partly because he's conquered his greatest vice: alcohol. The actor, who is 20 years sober, told Men's Fitness that he still seeks the thrill alcohol gave him, but has managed to find it in things like helicopter skiing and big-wave surfing.

But Lowe wasn't always so healthy. He began shaping up a few years ago after spotting himself in a magazine's "Worst Beach Bodies" article.

Now living an alcohol-free, low-carb life, Lowe has lost more than half of his body fat and rivals men half his age in health (and looks).

Trust Him, AMEN?!

CAN AN ELECTRIC SCOOTER BE GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH?

On 7/23/2014 I got my sweet scooter. I went to Target and Walmart and bought a locking chain, bell and lights. This post will be about whether or not an electric scooter is good for your health. I am thinking for sure it will be amazing for my mental health. Think about it, getting out and enjoying nature. I have never been one to exercise and surly never extreme exercise like aerobics. I do love stretching, leg lifts and using light weights. Let's just see what this new scooter does for me. I will keep you posted.

If I am having fun and encouraged to get out it seems I will also want to eat better foods. I don't want to look like a fat person riding a Walmart scooter. I want to appear healthy and energetic. Yes, I do care about my appearance and how others see me. We all really do even if we don't always admit it. I should not let myself go. I only have this one body. I am just trying to find myself and what will work for me.

I am just afraid of this in my old age:

I rode it today to Brookshire's Grocery and to CVS. It seemed a little scary coming back from Brookshire's on Hwy 110 so I pushed it all the way until I came to Forest Creek. I walked a good distance and I was sweating like crazy. This was better than a sauna. So far I know I am doing better than not doing the scooter or anything at all. 7/24/2014

My scooter is for Mental Health. When you have the freedom to fly down the road doing 20 miles an hour sitting down or standing up, you feel free! Then you actually start getting out more and then you find your tired, hot and sweaty which is something I haven't felt in a while. I am so conditioned to the easy life. I am actually getting exercise without too much pain. The fun over rides the aches I had the first day. I felt like I had been in a car wreck, you know the soreness afterwards. I can't wait to get outside and ride. I went to the Dollar General today and bought laundry detergent and yesterday I went to CVS. Hey, I just want to share with you if anyone is like me and a whole lot lazy, this is the answer. I am building strength just riding the scooter. It is not that costly either when you think of the fun and benefits. This is my scooter.

My son tells me he saw a friend of mine and she told him she thought she saw me on a scooter. Robbie says, "Yes, my mom has a scooter." He thought oh no, mom is embarrassing me but he realized she was just curious. Then I am thinking, do I look stupid riding a scooter? I googled it and there is a message board of people talking about being afraid of looking stupid on their scooters. They also say they don't care because they can't wipe the smile off their faces. So I have decided to ride it proudly with my head up and a big smile of joy. Joy is what I feel when riding. I will graduate to a really famine scooter in the future. Maybe I will get a blue or pink European looking scooter.

This will be an ongoing post about my progress and experiences on the scooter. I will let you know if I have any weight loss or other benefits from this.

This Works

Low Carb plans such as Atkins can be very effective for some people including me, many people who start a low carb diet experience get what’s called the “ketosis flu” or the “induction flu” in the first few days while the body is adapting to burning ketones instead of glucose.
The basic symptoms are:
– Headaches
– Nausea
– Upset stomach
– Lack of mental clarity (brain fog)
– Sleepiness
– Fatigue
It’s called the “ketosis flu” for a reason: you feel sick. I’ve gone through it and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Fortunately it only lasted 2 days but then suddenly I woke up feeling much better, less hungry and my energy level was really high and consistent throughout the day!
The first time I thought to myself: “What the heck am I doing? I feel like I’m going to die!” but I persevered and when it was over I didn’t regret a thing because what I had gained mentally and physically was 100% worth it.
For those of you that are going through the ketosis flu, don’t give up! I know you feel like it’s never going to get better but stick with it and you´ll be so happy you did! I’m telling you, waking up refreshed for the first time in years, not getting the afternoon “blah” feeling and stuffing my face with carbs to try to boost my energy is the best side effect of the low carb diet I’ve experienced. Okay, losing weight while eating good food, feeling full and satisfied is great too.
First you have to understand why your body is reacting this way. Your body’s been burning glucose for energy so it’s basically full of enzymes that are waiting to deal with the carbs you eat, but now the body needs to make new enzymes that burn fat for fuel instead of carbs, and the transition period causes the flu-like symptoms.
There are some things you can do to lessen the symptoms of the ketosis flu and to make it go away sooner (to force the body to transition sooner) Ok, let’s get to the good part – what to do:
First of all – you’re probably dehydrated. Drink PLENTY of water while you’re on a low carb diet, and then drink some more.
Watch your electrolytes. When the body is getting rid of excess insulin from your former carb-crazy diet you´ll lose lots of fluids that have been retained in your body. This causes the rapid weight loss most people see in their first few days of ketosis, it’s mostly water, sorry. When you lose all the retained water you also lose electrolytes like sodium, magnesium and potassium. When you’re lacking them you´ll feel like crap so when you’re feeling really ill on the ketosis flu try things like chicken/beef broth and look for foods rich in these minerals. Take a multi-vitamin and a multi-mineral.
Ok, here is where people throw the red flag – Eat more fat – Yup, I said MORE fat. Have some butter, just not on a roll, eat some bacon and eggs for breakfast, just skip the potatoes and toast. This will force your body to hurry up the transition. You´ll think this is crazy and think you´ll never get lose weight eating this way, but you will.
Don’t eat too much protein – The body can transform protein into glucose so if you eat too much of it in the first days it will slow down the transition. Go for fatty meat and cheese if you can, add fat to protein shakes etc.
Drink water, replenish electrolytes (sodium, magnesium, potassium) with food and supplements, drink broth, eat fat and not too much protein.
I hope this helps, and have a great day
Charles

FAVORITE'S

My grandmother Grace was a remarkable woman. I always thought I was her favorite. Jennifer thought she was and David my brother and Jerry Don my cousin. The thing is she never told any of us we were her favorites. This  woman made each of us feel so loved unconditionally.

My girl's laughingly say that Robbie is my favorite. Robbie say's Robin is and Kelly say's Robbie is. I have no favorites. Like I've told them some are more needy at different times and those times they seem to be the center of my attention. The truth is my children really know this and have fun stressing me with it. They like manipulating me with it actually for fun to see me squirm.

I have no favorites with my grandchildren. I love them all the same. Each one is so unique. I see such character in each one and a wonderful caring human being. I pray for each and sometimes I have a burden on my heart for one at a time when there in need. It is amazing one can love so many people at one time. What a wonder to be capable of so much love. I know I'm not alone. Most parents do love all their children the same.

To be half the woman Grace was would be a beautiful woman. She took in 1 teenager, 1 twelve year old and an eight year old who were already set in ( not so good ways) in other words, she called us "Hellions". The thing is I knew she loved us all! She will never be out done by me. I still hope just to be half the woman she was. I miss you mamaw, Grace Ersula Harris Webb! She did not like her middle name. I think it is awesome.

Adding she called us Her Little Hellions, which sounded sweeter. Later when I was living with her after David and Donna were grown she called me "Her Little Orphan".

One of the greatest verses in Scripture for parents with unsaved children is found in the writings of the prophet Isaiah: "Who can snatch the prey from the hands of a mighty man? Who can demand that a tyrant let his captive go? But the Lord says, 'Even the captives of the most mighty and most terrible shall all be freed; for I will fight those who fight you, and I will save your children" (Isaiah 49:24 & 25, TLB).

Thank God! This promise assures you that God will save your children, if you'll hold on and claim them for Christ. The Bible also says, "He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge" (Proverbs 14:26, NIV). This verse implies there will come a time when your children will need protection from calamity or trouble; they will need a fortress-and will flee to yours.

"ANNA'S MIRACLE"

In Psalm 46:1 we read: “God is . . . a very present help in trouble.” Our God is present now! He was our help in ages past but He is a very present help now, today—in the midst of any and all troubles.

“Therefore will not we fear” (46:2). We have no need to fear because our God is a consuming fire, a defender and shield for His children.

“God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). He is altogether faithful and true to His Word.

Anna is dying inside. Oh Lord please heal me from this pain. I beseech thee Lord to heal my mind and my body. Please take away all my fears and anxiety. Oh Lord please search my heart and remove all jealousies and envies.

Oh Lord it is all I can do to lie here day and night without any hope. I see no future and I just want to die right here. There is no hope for change. I only see sadness and darkness for my future.

Then Anna begins to ponder the idea, what if I just try and crawl to get my work done. What if I just try and crawl through the bedroom floor and gather all the laundry. If I could gather it all up and put it in one corner of the hall I could later maybe drag it into the laundry room.

Depression oh my Lord, has taken my strength. I am no more than a paralyzed cripple in my demeanor. How strange yet wonderful there are some who have never felt this sickness. This is a real mental sickness that takes your body away. It makes your body powerless to perform normal duties.

This is a sickness people can see. They see the evidence of the sickness but no bruises, scratches, blood or crutches to make their pain show. The pain is hidden in the heart and the soul. It produces no beauty in your surroundings and gives you away. People see something is wrong. It is a pitiful bondage for those who suffer this disease.

In order for Anna to be healed she has to take the first step. This she has figured might be her only way. She is thinking God is telling her to move, just make a move towards your wholeness and see where it goes. With dizziness overwhelming her, she fears to move yet she realizes this may be her only way out and an easier fight than she would have imagined.

She feels silly but so ready to see what God will do. She has made up her mind to push herself to move. Anna has chills and is so cold. She decides to dress very warm . Keep in mind this is not a physical sickness, this is mental which has drained her physical health.

She realizes she will have to fight even for this meager way of cleaning. She is able to fight one step at a time. She is knowing in her heart that God will meet her and honor her faith. She does not know how but she knows God is faithful. This keeps Anna going.

Anna is hoping for a complete recovery. She had for a couple of years fell on her face to God in prayer for a miracle. She had thought God would instantly pick her up and fill her with excitement and vigor to do her duties. It never happened. She heard a small voice in her head to just take a step of faith, then comes faith. Then comes the miracle. The miracle is lasting.

ANNA WILL BEGIN TOMORROW AND FINISH THIS REPORT.

Anna woke today after being up during the wee morning hours of 5/22/2014 and felt something different has happened to her. She has hope and strength to press forward and she never did have to physically crawl through her work. God is so Good. This is Anna's Miracle!
She has not felt this much freedom in at least 2 years. She knows a miracle has happened. She cleaned house, dressed and was able to go out for dinner with her husband. Eating out had been dreaded for her. It took all her energy to dress to go out.

Update: 5/27/2014
I can't sleep, I'm excited to be alive and no I haven't taken any meds. No Ambien. Just happy to be alive. Wow, haven't felt this way in a long time. Anticipating Life! Thank You Jesus.

You must be relentless in your prayer to God. If you are a child of God's he will hear your prayer and answer you. It is his desire to give us what is good for us.

Hannah is one of the most poignant characters in the Old Testament. Like several other women in the Bible, she was barren. People in ancient Israel believed that a large family was a blessing from God. Infertility, therefore, was a source of humiliation and shame. To make matters worse, her husband's other wife not only bore children but taunted Hannah mercilessly.
Once, at the house of the Lord in Shiloh, Hannah was praying so intently that her lips moved silently with the words she spoke to God in her heart. Eli the priest saw her and accused her of being drunk. She answered that she was praying, pouring out her soul to the Lord. Touched by her pain,
Eli answered, "Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him." (1 Samuel 1:17, NIV)
Anna believed God could do a miracle for her like he did for Hannah. God heard Anna's cry.

My Implant/SOUTHERN SURGICAL ARTS

First of all let me say, I am on cloud nine! I will have a number 19th tooth again. This was depressing to lose that tooth. It made me feel I was slowly loosing my parts! laugh! That's when you begin to feel like age is catching up with you. I now feel young again. Isn't that funny, that getting a tooth has such power.

When I got to the Oral, Facial, Implant Center, they had me sign papers of what could go wrong. Oh yea, I really needed that. You could get an infection, you could get a tooth beside the implant to be damaged and need a root canal or better yet, it could be lost. Then came the final most wonderful statement," Your jaw could be broken into. hahaha. Yea, so glad I had my Ativan under my tongue when reading that one.

The whole experience was Wonderful. I felt no pain. I was assured of no pain. I assumed they would stick the needle in my gums and then give me the anesthesia. The nurse prepared me with information, hooked me up to oxygen, told me she would do an iv first and I would be given meds through that, then they would stick the needle in my gums without me feeling it. Boy, what good news. She also trough the iv gave me antibiotics just to be safe from infections later. I felt like a queen being fussed over. It was totally painless and yet I was aware of them working on my implant. I remember hearing the doctor screwing in the implant. No pain No fear. It was a wonderful experience if one could say seeing a doc can be wonderful. The nurse gave me a fuzzy blanket to keep warm. How sweet! I felt I was in good hands. I would recommend this place to all my children. It is that professional.

Just want you all to know this clinic. They are brothers, Charles Stone is my doctor and his brother is Brian Stone. It is located in an area just before the New Fresh Brookshire's. The building is high-tech and so modern. It is set up with surgical rooms. Ice cold like the hospitals are. The area of recovery was all glassed in and outside were beautiful stone pillars, flowers and a drive through area to be picked up by family. Wow, Just a state of the art place. Here is a picture of their sign on a instruction sheet. It is in the area of the new El Charo's.  I can truly recommend this place to anyone. My own children. I give God the glory for leading me here.

What I have is a implant screw that is, it seems the same level as my gums and I have stiches. I also assume that what he put in my gums will be a piece that the actual implant bar will be screwed into and a cap on top that. I thought I would leave his office with a shiny silver bar sticking up until I got my cap. All I see is a place where there are stitches. Pretty Cool.

Thank You Dr. Charles Stone!
Sincerely, Deborah Kersh

Doctor Brian Stone and Charles Stone on right!

If This Is All You Can Do

As Christians we get caught up in daily life and the things of this world. Jesus never leaves us. We sometimes neglect to call upon him and then we feel awkward after so long without fellowship with him. Then usually we are ashamed to call on him. He is patiently waiting and wants you to come to him.

If this is all you can do, Jesus will hear you. Proverbs 15:29  The Lord is far from the wicked: but hears the prayers of the righteous. Because of this verse I would ask the Lord to forgive me of all my sins or unknown sins before I begin my prayer if I were shy and new at kneeling before the Almighty God. If this then is all you can do is pray, Jesus Help Me! This problem is too big for me to fix. Please help me. He will honor this prayer of your hearts cry. He knows your needs and your situation. Don't be shy to ask him. Kneel before the Lord to show your attention and honor to him.

Thank him and trust in him to begin a work in your life. It will be easier next time to be intimate with the Lord after this.

We're No Accident

My thoughts were why do I have to lose my tooth after all I do all the right things.  I  have my teeth cleaned twice  a year, floss and brush at least twice a day. I asked the Lord to please save my tooth. It had a crack and could not be repaired. I had a crown on that tooth for about 16 years. There is a reason for everything. Even though this was my last back chewing tooth left on my lower left side, it had to go. I have no choice but to get an implant if I want to chew my food.

Sitting in the Oral Surgeons exam room I am getting anxious and wanted to just leave the place. Then I started to realize there is a reason I am losing this tooth  and  God is with me. He promises to not leave me. He will help me through this procedure. I finally calmed down and when the doctor  came in we looked at the complete skeleton ex rays of all my teeth and jaw. He informed me I had enough bone to do an implant. Which will be done in two months. This was great news. Again, God is with me.

It came to me. It was so clear. It is no accident why we have our back teeth. Why? Of course to eat, but wait! If  there was a Big Bang and earth was made and then in the water some fish came out and walked and turned into monkey's and then turned in to man, what a perfect accident this was! The accident realized we needed back teeth to chew! Wow, Now, the accident is the theory of some and of course the atheist. Isn't it neat how the Big Bang was able to  know or even care to supply food on earth and back teeth to chew the food.

Now I am seeing it as a wonderful Revelation to see this through this window. I already knew there is a God but how do I tell or convince an  atheist of this. I had no explanation other than I know because I have  experienced God  and I am a born again Christian. This is not science or proof of God,  just my feelings. How could a big bang theory be an intelligent idea for anyone to believe? Is it a coincident that we have minds to choose to do good  or evil? How about our digestive systems? How about how I our bodies work.  So the (big bang) thought of making back teeth for chewing? That is less believable than there is a God who created  the World and loved us enough to think of how to make our bodies work perfectly, supply us crops from the land and animals for meat.

We're not to argue with anyone to convince them there is a God but I now know myself how to explain my belief in, there is a  God. Some people  don't claim to be atheist but have no belief there is a God. I know someone I met online from Israel who is a Kersh and he has a website about being an atheist. I corresponded with him and tried to reason with him about God. I asked him how can one feel love for their children and not know there is a  God.  He told me he loved his children and family and it had nothing to do with a  God. I just did not know how to explain it to him because I had no other explanation other than I just know there is a God and believe the Bible. He saw me as just emotional  and uneducated.

We're No Accident! The Bible says we are wonderfully made. Now I see in my heart how we are wonderfully made. God put thought and love into making us. The earth and all that he created was for us in mind. All of this came to me from losing a back tooth. God is so good! I love Jesus so much for showing me how much he loves us. We are wonderfully made.

Psalms 139: 13-15.
13. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Entertainment In The House Of God

  1. OMGoodness! How in the name of the Lord do I keep my mouth shut! What is the church coming to? Mother's Day is a man made day. " lets do thank our moms! " never was it intended to come before the Lord on his day. Church is a place of worship and for the lost to seek comfort. If I was lost and needed Jesus and knew or heard I could find him in church I would hope to not walk in on this! A Broadway Show because it is Sunday and by the way it is Mother's Day. If I am broken hearted, lost, hungry, sad, lonely and in need of salvation and redemption I could just sit back and enjoy the show!
I am Pentecostal and this is a Pentecostal Church. I wonder if Jesus attended this show! This is not Holiness! This is pure Worldliness! Let's dance to rock and prance around in foolishness on what is supposed to be Holy Ground! I wish David Wilkerson was still alive and I could talk to him. I really need a real live sober Christian to talk to. I am beginning to feel like an alien on this earth. I am sorry if I offend you church but someone has to tell the Truth! God have mercy because these people have laughed in the face of a Holy God!

Squandering Brings Poverty Life Style

Ever hear someone say, " I am going to be a millionaire." or " I want to be a millionaire." ? It means nothing, it leads to nothing within itself. If one has no concept of true happiness, then the money will not make it happen. One can be totally content, happy and secure on very little.

You see, one can have much and live so beneath their expected lifestyle. An earthly example would be hoarders. They can have a lot of money to buy and buy stuff. They let the stuff keep coming in until there is no room for order or a normal healthy lifestyle. They are now living in poverty. Why, because they can't cook, entertain, take a carefree bath or sleep in a bed with clean sheets. You may think, well if they have a lot of money they could just start over. Maybe, but even if they start over they will go back to their lifestyle if they do not change their lifestyle from the heart, actually their thinking.

The answer isn't being a millionaire or really rich. The answer is how you value yourself and what you already have. You see, if you know who you are in Christ, you have what the world calls self esteem. It is really called knowing your value, not self esteem. God made you his heir when you gave your heart and life to Jesus. You are valuable, you can and should live a rich quality of life. Like my grandmother Grace once said, "Anyone can afford a bar of soap!" No one needs to go dirty.

How does one Squander their Riches? There are so many ways to live in poverty yet be quite well off.

1. When your car breaks down, instead of repairing and doing maintenance one will finance a new one. This is an easy way out. I do realize the very rich may do better trading in a car every year because this would be affordable to them since they have chosen to always drive a new car. For those of us who are moderately making it yet not poor, it is better to stay away from a car payment. You do this by tender loving care.  Drive your car until it is no longer able to move. Keep up your maintenance, it is cheaper than a new loan. Yes, the new car makes you feel rich, gives your self esteem a boost and it smells good! What about your next trip to the grocery store and you feel the need to pinch a little more because of the New Car? Now how rich do you feel?

2. One is quite well off if they have a fairly new iphone. It works great. No problems, but it's not the latest! There is now a newer iphone that does this and that. Wow, it is amazing. All the apps are wow! Where is your contentment in having a perfectly usable phone that works great?  Will an upgrade bring you more happiness? Is it making you a smarter, more hip and modern person?  Or is it a constant chase and discontentment to keep up! Keeping up can be so costly and exhausting, and for who or what? When do you rest and feel whole? Contentment is real maturity and integrity.

3. No peace or happiness will come with all the stuff. It will drown you in a poverty lifestyle. On the show Hoarders, you see new sacks of goods from Macy's, Penney's or Lowes just thrown in a pile with other sacks and trash. They have so much money invested in New Garbage! Now they are in deep poverty because the tub is full of trash and sacks of New Stuff so they can not take a bath. The day I can't take a bath I am in deep poverty! Their kitchen is over run with dishes new and dirty.  They were poverty stricken when their money ran out because of buying all the Stuff and no place to put it and no way to use it. What caused their Poverty! Thinking they needed More and More and never being content and satisfied with what they had. They placed their value/worth in keeping up and having stuff.

4. Junk Food Diet, Smoking, Drinking and taking Drugs lead to poverty. How can I say that? Am I judging? No, it is just the plain truth. Think about the cost of Junk Food. A diet of processed sugar and garbage are cheap in dollar amount sometimes, but your body does pay a price. The price will  lead to poverty in your health. Smoking is very expensive and it can ruin your health. Drinking and Drugs are costly and lead to health problems.  This all leads to an impoverished body and finances. What about the poverty in relationships because of these things? What are we teaching our loved ones? A lifestyle beneath you. A lifestyle beneath what God intended for us. We have power over all these things through Jesus Christ. We are given the power of Choice.

5. On the flip side of over doing it what have you gained if you have Perfect House and a Betty Crocker Kitchen and your kids are out of control, lost or hurting for your attention? You and your children are in poverty. They need your attention and order but not perfection. What will they remember when grown, those beautifully perfectly made beds or the times you played with them and listened to their dreams and even their fears of today's world. Only Jesus can help us to do all we need to do. He wants us to enjoy our children and be there for them. Let him have the cares of  this world.  He wants us to be free from fear so we can be there for our children. We do not have to be bound with worries. You have power over the enemy who torments you with worry. Jesus gives you power over the enemy through his name. Call upon him. Touch his garment, press through for your petitions. It is God's will to be free from worry.

Jesus will help us to do the right thing. If you really want to live a Rich life, you can. You can be so rich in the Lord and be blessed with Integrity and Contentment! You will feel in control by not letting the allure of this world tell you what makes you rich. You will not be bound any more. Jesus will set you free. It's not a Money amount. It's a contentment and power over being seduced by the world and lies of the enemy about your self worth, amount.

The best feeling in the world is to live within your means. Being content with what you have is a peaceful state. It is what Jesus called us to do. Your circumstances can change. There are times you may just survive and be totally blessed with your needs being met. We can ask for a more prosperous life. God wants to give us the desires of our hearts, but we first need to be trusting towards him and content that he will bless us according to his will. Seek him and his righteousness first and all these things will be added unto you. There is such Power in being content and taking care of what God has entrusted to us.

We are all human and have struggled with some of these things. It has taken many years for the Lord to teach me that no matter how much money my husband makes, I lived in poverty when I was living beneath where God wanted me. After receiving the Holy Ghost I was given power over the enemy and practiced my heritage. I have been set free from many things in my life. I know my heritage. I know the promises God has made. We have power over the enemy. I do not have to be bound. God has truly set me free. This is real. He has set me free from cigarettes and many other things over the years. I am not saying those who smoke are sinners, no not at all. I am saying it is being Bound to something that hurts your health. Being bound is an awful way to live.  1 John 2:1 If we do sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ. Yes, I am saying we can sin and I do still slip up sometimes,  but Jesus will bring me back to right standing with him again. I do not have to be bound to a certain bondage. I have overcome through Jesus. That is your heritage. There is power in the Holy Ghost! I did not know this power after being saved. I practiced this power after being Baptized in the Holy Ghost!

Perfect

It's so nice to think we can plan our life. We have it all figured out. It is a perfect plan. We will marry the perfect person, have a perfect job, perfect home and perfect children. So, we are now in bliss because we are perfect. No trials, nothing to scar our dream image of what life is supposed to be. Just what is Perfection?

Perfection is not the perfect idea above. What perfection are we if we never have a trial or crises? Who would not pass the test if all went well? How easy to appear all together when life is passing out blessings after blessings. What is perfection? How do we handle the not so perfect world when what we built in our minds has failed? I believe true perfection is how we behave and deal with real issues and crises.

One loses a job, a family member is in crises or something ugly changes your life and your perfect world. You can remain perfect if you realize what perfection is! It is how you handle the real crises! The imperfect world we live in. Only Heaven will be perfect. There will never be our idea of perfect on earth at all times. I mean at all times! You will face things that will make you feel lesser than trash. Your real worth is not defined by the awful situation, but how you handle it with dignity. That is real perfection.

It is acceptable to need help. It is acceptable to appear less perfect than what the world pictures it to be. If you are real with a crises and face it with responsibility, that is perfection. So, you don't have the dream idea of what you thought it should be. Things happen, life happens. How do we handle the crises? Do we ignore it and hope it will go away? Pretend it does not exist and let our loved ones suffer in order to appear to others as normal? What perfection is that? Didn't Jesus say we would have trials? We would be mocked at times? Talked about?

The one we have to please in the end is Jesus. Hold on to him and trust in him only. He told us in his Word troubles would come at times. He promises to help us through them. Don't let the enemy lie to you by telling you there is shame in going through a troubling time. Hold on to him and he will see you through. When you call on his name he will see you through with dignity and honor. It pleases him for one to handle the imperfect situation with perfect trust and behavior. Doing what is best and not what appears best according to the world. Don't be ashamed of your trials. Handle them with faith, kindness and patience. That is perfection!

If the glass of milk is spilled, it is life. You may feel it is not perfect anymore. Behaving with anger, grumbling and unbelief is what makes it not perfect! Your dinner is not ruined by the spill! It can be ruined by your perception and behavior of the spill!

Perfect parents do what is best for their children, not what looks best in a Better Homes And Garden magazine.

This Month I Have Eaten Sugar, Starches, Cup Cakes,
Candy, Potato Casserole, Corn Bread Dressing and Chocolate Pie By Nelda! Yum! Home Made!
I Feel And See The Puffiness And Inflammation Returning. I Have To Catch It Now!

Since first writing this post, Christmas has come and gone. I have a new grand daughter and I have gained a grandson now living with me. From January 2013 till May 2013 Spencer has been like my own. School has been again an important part of our lives. We want Spencer to do really well. There has been more importance and newer interest in my life. Seeing the well being of Spencer is now #1. Thinking of me has not been so important anymore. I have realized in order to function I have to feel healthy and really be healthy to hold up to my new life changes. If I don't take care of my health I will suffer physical pain and depression. That would only drag down my grandson. He needs a cheerful upbeat caretaker.

I am entering a new phase in my life. I now am carrying the responsibility of seeing to it Spencer has a healthy lifestyle. Yes a 13 year old needs good nutrition and more work than using his thumbs on his games. This is a challenge. So, I figure in order to earn time playing games, he has to walk or ride his bike through our neighborhood at least once every day he plays his games. This is a start. How does an old granny get a 13 year old motivated? I am dreaming of ways. I will send him to tennis some days. He needs that push from me sometimes. He really wants a push. Kids do.

It scares me sometimes because I could ruin him. I could fail him. It is so important to teach him good and right things. I need to be an example and not just preach at him. I want to be a good example and us do and learn together. Get up and move! Take advantage of teachable moments.

Will be showing newer pictures soon. Been really stressed lately. learning I need to trust God and he will help me to do a good job with what he has called me to do.

I am a believer that what you eat will have dramatic effects on your mind and physical health. Without a prayer life I crumble. I have to always come  back and take time to pray. I can not function by myself.

Sometimes I wish I had no responsibilities. I  just could run free! Really I am just saying what we all at times feel. I mean those of us who really carry an importance in our lives.

Sentimental Baloney

Sentimental Journey? I get so tired of sentiment being mistaken for godliness. Even evil men love their children, not all love is godly. There are so many cute sayings being passed around facebook seeming so spiritual, but have no true godliness, it lacks the real holiness and power of God. Click if you really love Jesus or don't click and deny him and be ashamed. Sorry that sounds more like witchcraft to me. If you don't do this ritual you will be damned or Jesus will be offended! Are you serious? How foolish to play mind games concerning the things of God. I am aware most are to smart for this foolishness, yet look who is sharing this stuff, people who claim to be Christians!

Little stories with anecdotes or moral of the story quotes have no power of God, just a form of godliness, lacking the power. The Word of God says we will see more of this in the last days. I just read a story of an old man on facebook, who after he died the nursing home found a poem showing how his mind had never changed. The moral of the whole story was, we are to know that the elderly still have their feelings in tact. Wow, how beneficial! Duh! Really! They never tell the real story here. That this is a soul crying out for God! This elderly man goes back in his mind and realizes how fast his life went by, starting at age 10. It is so sad and sentimental, it pulls at your heart strings, but has no answers.

How sweet and tender most will feel after their heart feels a ting of pity for this man. Now they know they are human and feel so spiritual. They have not God just because they have a ting of feelings.

We Christians know the answer. This poor soul sees no hope, no way out, no more happiness, everything is gone. No future, it is all over. For his heart to dance he goes back to the memories of happier times. They leave us like this. This poor old man proves there are hungry, wanting souls forgotten. There was hope for this man. If only he had known Jesus. His heart would have danced for joy that he soon would see the Lord and have paradise for eternity.
Better things were yet to come, it was not over.

Have you ever felt such love for your child that it actually was painful. The love is so deep it has a hold on you. This place where you feel this love and pain most people call the heart. I believe this is the soul. This is a good description of the soul. This is the core, the conscious mind. This is your soul! This will live forever somewhere after you die. Those who have not asked Jesus to forgive them of their sins and save their soul will go to hell when they die. It does not matter how your heart felt for the elderly, the sick child on facebook or the person who has not found their love. It does not mean you are right with God but shows you are human and blessed with a soft heart.

You, the soul will live forever! You will someday die and your soul will immediately be aware of somewhere! Your soul will see heaven or hell. This is real! Adam and Eve ruined it for us. We all are born sinners. Don't be offended! The bible says this. We are born sinners no matter how sentimental we are. You can convince yourself you are so good because you can get watery eyes over the sad story you read or hear.

We are to humble ourselves  "Jesus I know I was born a sinner, please forgive me and save me."  You see you must be saved. This is the Word of God. We are to come to him as little children and repent and ask him to be the Lord of our lives. You are no different than any other human on earth, we all are born in sin.

Through salvation are we made perfect. After salvation that heart will be beneficial in really making a difference in a persons life. You see, this earth will pass away, if not real soon and you will pass away in probably 100 years give or take.  What really matters is eternity, it is eternity. Heaven or Hell.  Forget the foolish stuff and get real with God! What a blessing to reach the sick or needy through Jesus. You can help win a soul for eternity.

If you now on earth can feel and you have a thinking conscious, that part will continue after death. The new false teaching is there is no hell. This is the best trick the devil has come up with. These false teachers are in the churches preaching there is a heaven but no hell. This new age false doctrine makes it so easy to not worry if you make heaven or not. So! One thinks in his heart, "I will just sleep forever."   This is a trick! The devil is working hard while time is running out. His only desire is to keep you from God and take you to hell. The soul will be aware. The soul will feel heart pain and physical pain.

I am aware of my time passing fast, then what? It is over in a vapor! It gets faster and faster. You can't get it back and you can't change the wasted years. God will forgive us of our sins and he will not bring them up again. We can have a fresh new start. A new beginning. You can be pure again, white as snow, no guilt. Worthy enough to live with the Lord in Heaven for eternity. Worthy through the blood of Jesus.

DARE TO ASK!

What I love about the Lord is the relationship I have with him. It is better than one I had with any parents. I can talk about anything with the Lord. I can ask him anything and not be shy. He is my Father! I saw where an online Pastor made the comment it would be wrong for one to ask for hair if they are balding. I assumed he was talking about men. Men or not I think any gender could ask for hair. Being a woman and knowing our hair is our glory, I surely feel I can ask him for thicker hair. Why would wanting hair, man or woman be vanity? We were given hair. I want the freedom to ask if I were losing my hair.

God knows the hairs on our head and he cares for the little things in our life. He encourages us to ask as little children, with child like faith, so I can not let someone tell me how and what to communicate to my Father. My relationship with him is personal. We are family. If I were to be out of line in any way, God would sweetly and gently let me know. There would be no condemnation or embarrassment.

If I lose the freedom to ask what I want, then my relationship is then running on fear and doubt. Where does faith come in. This same Pastor claims it is wrong to ask for another talent. I believe God plants a strong desire in our hearts for some talents because he wants to cultivate those talents in us for his glory and to be used to bless others. The word says if we are faithful in the one talent he gives us and do not bury it then it grows, he will give us more talents.

We are to let our request be known. I am thankful that God gives me freedom to make judgments on what to ask for. I realize asking for a 20 year old body would not be in the right spirit or would bring Glory to God. I know when my heart is thinking vanity. I have no need for a bright red 2012 corvette.( For someone else there could be a reason for the corvette,) See where I am coming from? I want freedom to ask what I want. God wants me to trust him and communicate with him. He knows my heart and will expose it to me if I ask. When one gets carried away in the things of the world God may use man to show us, but if we ask God to check our heart he will keep us.

I have freedom to come to my Father with anything! What a beautiful relationship, no third party comes between us. How would you feel if you had to go through your brother or sister before asking your daddy for something? Would you want your child to feel they had to go through a sibling in order to get the okay to talk to you? Of course not! I personally stand on his Word. He can not lie. I claim my heritage. This is our right to have Faith as little children. It is actually a command.

The disciples were asking Jesus who would be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 18:3 Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matt 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

Dare to ask. Have you noticed little children are not afraid to ask for what seems impossible? They are so child like that they do not realize what they are asking or what it takes to make it happen. They just trust and innocently ask. When my son, Robbie was about 3 or 4 years old he asked me if Jesus was really real. I wanted the Lord to give me the right words to help him understand that Jesus was real. I had not taught my children to believe in Santa Clause because I just chose to not fill them with the false feeling of a supernatural being who could see them, love them, watch over them and know everything they do, then take it away because it was just a fantasy. Them believing in Jesus is real and that I wanted planted in their hearts forever with real power. I wanted them to know that no one could ever take that truth from their heart or try to convince then that Jesus was not real.

The thought came to me for us to ask in faith as a child for some roses. I asked Robbie what color we should ask for. We both agreed yellow was unique and pretty. I took his little hands and he bowed his head and we asked Jesus to please send us some yellow roses to show his love and power to Robbie. Robbie I felt really needed and believed that Jesus would do what we asked. I know we are not to test God and be disrespectful. God does say, "prove me." When teaching about tithing.
This was not just a test, this was a child with a child like heart, no malice and it was not even his idea to do this. He was too young to think of it. I felt this was the Lords idea. I did not feel I needed to test the Lord, I knew he would come through for my innocent little boy.

About 30 minutes later Robert my husband came in the door to our bedroom where Robbie and I were still talking, caring a dozen yellow roses. Even I was taken back by how God did this. Robbie being so young at that time can still remember this! It took him by such surprise! There is no Santa that could have made that child happier. Robbie knows to live by faith and not by sight. God showed himself to my son that day. Robert and I were blessed and to this day still remember God's loving pleasure in showing himself to our son. God honors child like faith.

In these trying days we are seeing and hearing things that are causing our hearts to feel faint. It does not matter that you are old and feel you lost your innocence. You can humble yourself like a child again and God will honor you and bless you. He wants you to ask him for your needs. He wants you to believe as a little child. We never know if or when we might be in a disaster. There are so many things that can change our ordinary life. God wants us to ask him for help with an innocent child like faith. It feels so good to let him show himself to us and take care of us. This is his desire.

Don't Argue Or Reason With The Devil Or Evil Spirits !!

Written By Deborah and Research Tools but Holy Ghost Inspired. This is Truth.

I came across this message from an email sent from a past Church. It reads:
Men!
This Wednesday we begin a three part teaching by: (John Doe) BA., MBA: A Board Certified Pastoral Counselor. He will be dealing with the issue of addiction to pornography that is touching society and especially the lives of men even in the church.
Please do not miss this schedule: June 6, 20, 27 Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
Invite another man to come with you.

Straight from the Heart!
The senders name here

You can't talk and reason with an evil spirit! You cast it out! You rebuke it and cast it out! We are given this power by the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 17:15-21
15: Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16: and I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17: Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation. how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18: And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19: Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place;  and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.
21: Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting

He gave us the power to overcome and be set free from sin. He did not intend for us to use reason and mans' way to be set free. Mans'  way will not work, it does not matter if he has a PHD or MBA after his name. You only need Jesus, faith and his delivering power. Reasoning and discussing with the devil will not set you free. Preaching the Word Of God is the only way. Deliverence is the only way. The Holy Spirit gives us POWER over the devil. You personally can cast out the spirit of pornography by faith!

I know, I have experienced an addiction in my life, from my youth(saved at age 9) until I was Baptized in the Holy Ghost at age 20. Then I was taught the Word of God! I was given the power to cast out evil spirits tormenting me and keeping me bound to a certain sin. I was heartbroken and sick of the sin that had me bound. It caused such guilt and made me feel separated from God, ashamed to talk to God and come to him in prayer and worship. I was sick of it and realized I had power over the devil and his evil  spirits. I demanded this evil spirit to be cast out of me in the name of Jesus and immediately Jesus set me free. This was 40 years ago and I am still set free.

After I was Baptized in the Holy Ghost my sister wanted to be set free from cigarettes. The Lord told me to lay hands on her and bind the nicotine spirit. My sister was so happy to have me pray. She wanted so much to be free. After I prayed for her, God instantly set her Free. She has been free now for over 40 years. Today this is a fading practise and belief. People are bound, but call it addictions. They are using doctors trying to be free. Jesus is still the answer.

How blessed I am to know my rights as a child of God. We are given power over the enemy. This is how: The indwelling of the Spirit is not the same as the infilling of the Spirit. The indwelling of the Spirit, also called the Spirit of earnest ( seed of the :Holy Spirit) is given by the Father to every person who repents and believes in Jesus Christ. Romans 8:16, II Corintians 1:22  This is the spiritual baptism into Christ, or New Birth when one is saved.

The infilling is a gift offered to the children of God and is the "power from on high" (Luke 24:49) called the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. The infilling is received through faith and prayer and laying on of  hands. Results of receiving the infilling includes Power To Overcome Sin, Boldness To Witness, Divine Comfort, Sweet Fellowship With Him, and a Fuller Manifestation Of Spiritual Gifts.

John 7:37-39  After Jesus was glorified, the living water of the Holy Ghost was poured out at Pentecost and numerous times thereafter to Empower believers with the following:
  • Ability to overcome sin (Galatians 5:16 and Revelations 12:11)
  • Boldness in witnessing (Acts 1:8)
  • Deeper understanding of Gods Word  (Isaiah 50:4 and Revelations 2:29)
  • Faith to endure trials (I Peter 1:7, 4:12)
  • Greater Manifestations of  Spiritual gifts (I Corintians 12:7-10)
  • Power in Prayer (Romans 8:26-27)
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is for any believer who desires a closer walk with the Lord.
1. To receive the Holy Spirit Baptism you first must be saved, receive Jesus Christ as your Savior.
2. God will fill you with the Holy Spirit, but first you must have a heart of repentanse and be willing to humble yourself to recieve his gift by faith. The Lord looks not at the outward appearance but he looks on the heart (I Samualknoweth the hearts, bare them witness giving Them the Holy Ghost even as he did with us" Who is US ? (Acts 15:7-9) Us means the deciples! We too are given the gift of the Holy Ghost Power! Who is Them? The Gentiles and meaning all other ethnic groups as well as the Jewish deciples!! We who are Gentiles are the Them! The Baptism of the Holy Ghost here is talking about the power from pentecost and the manifestations that the deciples were given, we also are Given!!!
3. Ask your Heavenly Father to fill you with his Holy Spirit. You will receive the Power to Overcome.

Are You Really Good?

There are those who have been taught properly. They have been taught manners, how to treat others respectably. Some families have quoted Words from the Bible in order to teach their children kindness and respect towards others.

After reading in Luke Chapter 6: 41-47, it leads me to question whether it would be better to allow one to grow up a heathen, only if you do not teach salvation. The reason is, I would think being raised to be kind and correct in ones actions and behavior without the teachings of Jesus Christ and his coming to save the sinner, which we are all born, would just cause one to be self righteous.

Jesus is explaining to his disciples why the woman, a sinner should not be scolded for wasting the perfume on his feet. It reads:
There was a certain creditor which had two debtors, the one owed five hundred pence and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me there, which of them will love him the most?
Simon answered and said, I suppose that he to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thy house, thou gavest me no water for my feet, but she hath washed my feet with tears and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
Thou gavest me no kiss, but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
My head with oil thou didst not anoint but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins , which are many are forgiven, for she loved much. but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

How profound this is. Those who have much sin to be forgiven, loveth more the Forgiver. This causes me to think, what if one only teaches good acts to their children? Could in time their children begin to see they are much better behaved and kind than most. Then thinking they are righteous? No real understanding of their need to repent of their sins, not realizing all are born sinners.

We all are born sinners, no matter how good we are, or think we are. Jesus says we must repent of our sins. Yes, we are all born sinners. There is no other way to eternal life in heaven without recognizing this and humbling our self and asking Jesus to forgive us of our sins and him coming into our heart to change us. He then will make us righteous enough for God and eternity in Heaven.

Yes, you are different than those who are behaving like heathens in this world, but maybe only because you were taught to behave with kindness and manners. Without true repentance and salvation you are no different. Hell is real, and all who are not saved by grace will enter there. You only have to truly ask for forgiveness of your sins and ask Jesus to save you. You will be born again. You will be new again. You will be clean and free.
