Where Did Sovereignty Go?

2011
Have  you ever walked in a place that you immediately felt the Sovereignty in the air. Do you feel the "Quite" "Respectful" "Holy" "Safe",  Reverence in the house of the Lord, Shamefacedness in the presence of the Lord. Is his house a house of party and laughter when you first enter? Should we come in quietly with respect to our Lord and Almighty God? Is there a spirit of I can't wait to kneel and pray, worship and adore him?

Maybe just maybe I am like the mammals frozen in time and God knew after being thawed out I would come back with the only truth I knew. When did the bible change?  Was it while I was sleeping "Lost in Sin".  I am beginning to wonder if my being away so many years was in my favor! Why?  Because the change hasn't gradually taken me over. I was either in or out, and I was out for a long time. Now that I am in, I only know one way to be in! The Old Fashioned Way! The Word of God is the same today!

What is shamefacedness? (1 Timothy 2:9) It is opposite of sexy, yet not homely or dowdy. I remember Renee was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen when in prayer and worshiping the Lord and she was always covered.  (1 Peter 1: 16-17) When did we Christian women buy into dressing and looking sexy? I am guilty too of the subtleness of it. I think the older women forgot somewhere down the line to teach the younger women. We older women started letting the younger teach us.

Why do we go to church now? Is it for recreation and time to socialize and plan our next event/party? Am I too serious to be any earthly good?  Yes, I am to serious and I can not help it any more. I am just plain hungry. I have to have more.  KJV (Acts 2:1-18) When we all are there to seek his face and worship him, then we are all of one accord. The Holy Ghost will be invited to move on our one minded hearts. There will again be the moving of the Holy Spirit.

Is this too a thing of the past and should be hushed. Is laying on of hands now a thing of the past?  Is listening to the sermon a little past lunch time just too much for our modern Church? (James 4:9-10) Do we linger any more, do we lament anymore?  Is the modern Christian now past that and we are now only speaking of riches and bounty? Is it now just about make me feel good all the time? Is it now a what can I get, what I want religion?
